YORK — Police in Maine say they have arrested three York County residents for a string of burglaries and thefts in three counties over the past two months.

Police say 23-year-old Christopher Michaud of Limerick, 20-year-old Cole Meserve of Standish and 21-year-old Amber Meserve of Limerick are being held at York County Jail on $10,000 bail each and were scheduled for arraignment in Springvale District Court on Monday. A state trooper investigating the case says the defendants are responsible for more than 20 burglaries and used money generated from the thefts to buy drugs.

Investigators recovered guns, dirt bikes, televisions, computers, marijuana and other items after executing a search warrant related to the case.

The Meserves are brother and sister. It was unclear if any of the three had lawyers.
