1958 – 2014

WESTBROOK — Timothy “Tim” Alan DeFilipp, 56, of Westbrook passed away on Saturday, Nov. 22, surrounded by his loved ones, a year and a half after being diagnosed with cancer.

Born on Feb. 27, 1958, in Rumford, Timothy was the son of Vito and Frances DeFilipp of Mexico.

He was the founder and president of TKM Land Surveyors Inc., where he dedicated the last 21 years of his professional career to building a company he was proud to serve and represent each day.

He enjoyed all things sports and was an avid Boston Red Sox, New England Patriots and Florida Gators fan. When he wasn’t busy taking care of his yard or working in his garage, he could be found cruising the streets in his sports cars. He was a beloved and devoted husband, father and Grampie, Grandpa Tim, son, brother and friend to all.

He is preceded in death by his brother, Chris DeFilipp; and his father, Vito DeFilipp.

He is survived by his wife, Kathleen Allen DeFilipp; his children, Michelle Jarvis (T.J.) and step-children Kelly Chraibi (Salim) and Jeff Dowling (Eileen); his mother, Frances DeFilipp; his siblings, Richard DeFilipp, Peter DeFilipp and Joanne Alex (Joe); his granddaughter, Quinn; his step-grandchildren, Aedan, Jackson, Alex and Ella; and five nieces and nephews, Jennifer, Jessica, Joel, Julianna and Christopher.
