LEWISTON — Ekaterina I. Funk, a certified nurse practitioner, has been appointed to the Central Maine Medical Center associate professional staff. She is practicing at High Street Family Medicine in Lewiston.

She recently earned a master’s degree in nursing — family nurse practitioner at the University of Southern Maine in Portland. She graduated summa cum laude from USM with a bachelor’s degree in nursing in 2011. She also holds an associate degree in art from Southern Maine Community College, where she graduated with honors in 2008.

Funk most recently worked as a registered nurse at the Orthopaedic Institute of Central Maine at CMMC. She is certified in basic life support and advanced cardiac life support.

She is proficient in written and spoken Russian and has worked as a translator.

She is practicing in association with Edward W. Bogner, M.D., physician assistant Taylor Butterfield and licensed clinical social worker Melissa K. Dumont. High Street Family Medicine is located at 10 High Street, Suite 301, in Lewiston and can be reached at 753-7655.
