Overview: Coach Kane makes the jump to the Class A level with the Cougars after coaching at Spruce Mountain. Mt. Blue beat Lewiston in the prelims last year and nearly toppled the No. 1 seed in Eastern A in the quarterfinals. The Cougars return just two starters, Brinkman and Kane. Players like Cummings, Bator and Doiron saw time off the bench and contributed. Mt. Blue didn’t have a summer season with its new coach. So it will take time for the Cougars to adjust and round into form, but Mt. Blue should be a tourney team and a tough opponent by the end of the year.
