PORTLAND —   Cam Dube netted the game-winning goal in overtime as Cheverus secured a 3-2 victory over Lewiston in boys’ hockey action Saturday.

Dube scored two goals, while James Hannigan scored a goal and two assists for the Stags (1-0).

The Blue Devils (0-1) matched Cheverus goal for goal in the second period as Jeromy Rancourt and Griffin Wade found the back of the net. Kyle Morin had two assists, and Alex Rivet added another in the frame.

Goalie Jacob Strout had 15 saves for Lewiston, while goalie Kyle Severance turned back 36 shots for Cheverus in the winning effort.
