LEWISTON — Family, friends and the Lewiston Police Department are seeking help in locating 26-year-old Dustin Hadfield, last seen Saturday night on Wood Street.

According to his brother, Adam Hadfield of New Mexico, Dustin had been at a party with friends Saturday night before texting a friend around 2 a.m. and vanishing, leaving behind his debit card and vehicle, and turning off his phone.

Hadfield lives on Wood Street, his brother said.

Adam Hadfield said his brother, who served six years in the Air Force, had been planning to move to New Mexico next month.

“I don’t know where he would go or why he would disappear; he was really excited to get out of Maine and make a change in his life,” Hadfield said.

Hadfield said he and other family members and friends have tracked down anyone they knew who might have been in contact with Dustin, and searched areas where he may have gone. They are drawing a blank, he said.

Hadfield said his mother and stepfather from Mechanic Falls have joined in the search, as well as the Lewiston Police Department. The family has also started a Facebook page dedicated to finding Dustin (Help Find Dustin Hadfield).

Dustin Hadfield is 5 feet, 9 inches tall, weighs approximately 190 pounds and has short brown hair and hazel eyes. He has an Air Force tattoo on one shoulder and a grim reaper tattoo on the other, as well as a cross tattoo on his torso.

Anyone with information about him is asked to contact Detective Derrick St. Laurent of the Lewiston Police Department at 207-513-3001.
