LEWISTON — The University of Southern Maine’s Lewiston Auburn Senior College and the Lewiston Public Library have formed a collaboration which will offer more and varied learning opportunities for members at both facilities, as well as for the general public.
One day events, condensed classes, and resource information assistance will be part of what LPL offers LAC Senior College members. LAC Senior College will provide a schedule of one-day repeats of its Winter Series courses on a variety of topics at LPL. The library will provide space for these lectures.
These courses are also offered at Auburn Public Library in a collaboration Senior College has had with APL for several years now.
LAC Senior College also has a successful collaboration with Schooner Estates Retirement Community which brings two college courses directly to Schooner Estates for each fall and spring semesters. Several Schooner residents maintain a thriving membership with LAC Senior College.
