MEXICO — The Police Department responded to 65 incidents over the last week-and-a-half, including the following:


* At 7:56 a.m. Dec. 17, Robert Blais, 43, of Rumford was traveling west on Route 2 in his 2006 Chevrolet sedan when a deer struck the side of his vehicle. Blais was not injured in the crash, police Chief Roy Hodsdon said.


* A Chase Avenue resident reported at 6:14 p.m. Dec. 16 that someone stole $500 worth of personal checks from their home. Hodsdon said that the case remains under investigation and there are no suspects.

* A Spring Street resident reported at 8:34 a.m. Dec. 11 that someone entered their unlocked vehicle and stole over $6,000 worth of heating equipment. Hodsdon said anyone with information is asked to call the Police Department.


* A Rumford resident reported at 4:49 p.m. Dec. 10 that someone assaulted him at Tommy Guns Pitstop in Mexico the week prior. He said he received injuries to his face. Hodsdon said that the case was sent to the District Attorney’s Office for possible charges.
