PORTLAND (AP) — Maine officials said they are now making hunting and fishing licenses for 2015 available.
The licenses can be purchased online or at more than 800 licensing agents, which are located throughout the state. The state Department of Inland Fisheries and Wildlife uses its Maine Online Sportsman Electronic System website to sell and provide hunting and fishing licenses via the Internet. The system is open to residents and non-residents who are seeking licenses.
Some of Maine’s most popular hunting seasons are for deer, moose, bear and turkey. Many of the busiest seasons take place in the fall.
