Pet First Aid and CPR will be offered from 10 a.m. to noon Saturday, Jan. 10, at the Auburn Public Library, 49 Spring St. Bobby Silcott, from the Maine POM Project, will teach the basic animal first aid and CPR skills. Silcott, Harvest Hills Animal Shelter board member and local animal control officer,is on a mission to equip local rescue organizations with Pet Oxygen Masks (POMs). The project has gone statewide to make sure all fire/rescue departments are equipped with POMs. There is no cost to the program, but donations will be accepted for the Maine POM Project. Do not bring pets to the event.
