AUBURN — Amanda Rector, state economist at the Governor’s Office of Policy and Management, will be the speaker at the Androscoggin County Chamber of Commerce January breakfast, to be held on Thursday, Jan. 8, at the Hilton Garden Inn Auburn Riverwatch. Networking opportunities will begin at 6:45 a.m. with breakfast served at 7:15 a.m.
“The Maine Economy” will be Rector’s topic. Besides her job as state economist, she serves as the governor’s liaison to the U.S. Census Bureau, is a member of the Revenue Forecasting Committee, and supports the director of OPM on economic and tax policy issues affecting Maine. She conducts ongoing analysis of Maine’s economy and demographics to inform policy decisions.
