DIXFIELD — Discussion on a proposed recall ordinance will continue at the selectmen meeting at 5:30 p.m. Monday, Jan. 12, at Ludden Memorial Library.

At a board meeting Aug. 25, 2014, selectmen reviewed drafts of recall ordinances from several Maine towns, including Mexico, Peru and Rumford, and agreed to review them to figure out what would work best for the town.

Town Manager Carlo Puiia said he was presenting the ordinances to the board as “food for thought.”

At the board meeting Oct. 13, 2014, selectmen voted to place a recall ordinance before voters at the June 10, 2015, referendum.

Among the major changes in the proposed ordinance are changing the requirement for signatures on a recall petition to 20 percent of the number of votes cast in the last gubernatorial election.

* Appointment of registrar of voters.

* MDOT notification of paving projects.

* Schedule for upcoming municipal budget.

* Discussion on the Regional School Unit 10 proposal for buildings and grounds.
