JAY — Spruce Mountain Ski Slope will offer free skiing and other activities from noon to 4 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 18.
Franklin Savings Bank and Western Mountain Financial Services have teamed up with the Spruce Mountain Pharmacy to sponsor an afternoon of healthy winter outdoor activities for Mainers.
Cross-country skiing equipment will be available from Maine Wintersports.
“We love sponsoring the free ski events. It’s so nice to see families out there, learning a healthy outdoor activity,” Lorna Niedner, manager of the Jay Branch of Franklin Savings Bank, said. “It’s a family-friendly event that allows everyone to enjoy our Maine winters.”
Free skiing and tubing is planned for Black Mountain of Maine in Rumford on Feb. 26. Ski and snowboard rentals will be available for $15, but quantities will be limited.
Free skiing and snowboarding is being planned for Titcomb Mountain in Farmington. Details will be announced.
