GARDINER — Johnson Hall Performing Arts Center on Water Street will present The Early Evening Show with Mike Miclon at 7:30 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 7.

Maine’s renowned variety entertainer and Johnson Hall’s Executive/Artistic Director

will host the show. The premise is based on a spoof of a late-night talk show, but it’s not that simple. With improvisation, sketch comedy, music, lots of special guests and surprises, no two shows are ever alike. Miclon brings his warm personality and goofy sense of fun to the stage – and sometimes an unsuspecting audience member or two.

Well-known musicians Oren Robinson and April Reed-Cox head up the Early Evening Show Orchestra. With their virtuosic improvisational style, Robinson and Reed-Cox are able to both create new songs on the spot and interpret classic favorites with freshness and originality.

Doors open at 7 p.m. Tickets are $16 for adults, $14 for seniors and $5 for 17 and under.
