LISBON FALLS — The Lisbon Historical Society will host Nancy Milliken Mason from Gray, who will present a talk on DNA testing for genealogy, at 7 p.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 11, at the MTM Center on School Street.
According to Mason, “genealogical DNA testing can help you discover the origins of your paternal and maternal lines. It can help find relatives with whom you share a common ancestor. These new relatives may be able to help you break down your ‘brick walls.’”
And, she said, “This testing can help find unknown family lines in cases of adoption or other separations from biological lines.”
Society Secretary/Treasurer Dorothy Smith said this is the month for members to pay annual dues. She will provide membership status and accept dues payments at the meeting.
Refreshments will be served, and members are urged to bring Valentine-themed food items for the refreshment table.
Parking and entrance are at the rear of the building. For more information, send a message to [email protected] or call Smith at 353-8510.
