LEWISTON — The Androscoggin County Chamber of Commerce is presenting a series of seminars for small businesses. The early morning series, facilitated by Skelton Taintor & Abbott shareholders Rebecca Webber and John Cole, will explore strategies for avoiding employment risk in 2015.

Those interested in participating are asked to meet at 7:30 a.m. for registration and networking opportunities. Each session will begin at 8 a.m. and last until 9:30 a.m., held at the Androscoggin County Chamber of Commerce, 415 Lisbon St., Lewiston.

The first session, “Employment Law Update and Overview for Small Businesses,” will be held Tuesday, Feb. 24. Webber will be the moderator.

The second session, “Wage and Hour Guidance from the DOL Itself,” will feature Scott Cotnoir, Department of Labor labor and safety inspector. It will be held Thursday, March 19.

The third session, “Workers Comp Guidance from the Board Itself,” with Workers’ Compensation Board Executive Director/Chairman Paul Sighinolfi and Cole, will be held Thursday, May 7.
