FARMINGTON — The Farmington Horsemen’s Association held their annual meeting on Feb. 7 at the University of Maine of Farmington with approximately 70 people in attendance.
After a buffet meal, the following awards were presented.
Best two year old: Madison Touch, owner John Korhonen of Livermore, trained by Mike and Sherry Cushing.
Best three year old: Shady Touch, owned by Darrell and Jessica Tibbetts of Livermore, trained by Mike and Sherry Cushing.
Most wins undeniable: Burkentine Hanover, with 11 wins, owner Michele Nelson of Temple, trained by Joe Nelson.
Fastest trotter: Neverdie, with a record of 1.58.3 at Windsor Fair, owners Michael Graham of Weld and Steve Wilson of Farmington, trained by Mike and Sherry Cushing.
Fastest pacer: Burkentine Hanover, with a record of 151.4, owner Michele Nelson of Temple, trained by Joe Nelson.
Most money earned: Freetime, earned over $36,000 in 2014, owner John Korhonen of Livermore, trained by Mike and Sherry Cushing.
The association also presented two $800 college scholarships to Lauren Hebert of Jay and Alysa Hamilton of Livermore.
