1951 – 2015

LEWISTON — Norman R. Croteau, 63, of Turner, passed away Thursday, Feb. 19, at Androscoggin Home Care and Hospice.

He was born in Lewiston on March 16, 1951, to Maurice and Solange Croteau (Blais). He graduated from Lewiston High School in 1969.

He was self-employed for most of his life and worked in the box and bag business as a wholesaler. In his later years, he was involved in the food catering business.

Norman loved animals; he had horses, dogs and cats. Most of all, he loved his dogs and had several generations of purebred sheep dogs and Brittany spaniels. He loved music and was a huge Beatles fan. He also loved foliage rides and reading. He will be sadly missed.

Norman is survived by his brother, Ronald Croteau, of Lewiston; his nephew, Brian Croteau and wife, Caroline; great-nephew, Brendon Croteau, all of Lewiston; and his dogs, Bob and Taylor.

He was predeceased by his parents, Maurice and Solange Croteau; and a nephew, Scott Croteau.
