Poland Spring’s baths will open Monday, March 8th, under the direction of Dr. H. H. Roberts, medical director. These remarkable baths begin a new period in the development of Poland Spring, supplying to its guests and to those whom it can accommodate, every advantage that can be given in Europe or elsewhere. There is nothing that the great baths of the world can do that Poland Spring cannot now duplicate or surpass. To house these baths a beautiful edifice of gray brick has been built this winter, two stories in height, the upper for ladies, the lower for men. The interior fairly glows in beautiful white of porcelain and tile. Six luxurious lounge-rooms, exquisite waiting rooms, a series of the most novel devices for the application of hydro-therapy to individual needs are all to be seen in this structure. Patrons have been waiting for months for its service. The baths are primarily an adjunct to the comfort and luxury of the hotel. They are being added to the great hotels of the world, but not often so luxuriously.

An unprecedented marketing strategy to increase local bus ridership has been launched in the Twin Cities. The campaign is using “Bus-to …” posters, full-color route maps, “tripper” schedule handouts and a revised bus schedule pamphlet. More than 600 businesses and industries in Lewiston and Auburn have been targeted to receive the printed materials. About 550 of the 612 firms are on bus routes.
