LIVERMORE FALLS — Do you have a book that you’ve been meaning to read? Come share the reading experience with others at the Spring Book Club at the Treat Memorial Library, beginning on Thursday, March 12, at 3 p.m. Bring your suggestions for books you would like to see read in the discussion group. One tip: try to suggest slightly older titles, since it will be harder to obtain brand new titles for everyone in the group. The reading list will be compiled by the group for a unique discussion experience. After the initial meeting, the group will meet from 3 to 5 p.m. on Thursdays, April 9, May 14, June 11, July 9 and Aug. 20.

Calling all young writers: The Teen Writers Group Informational Meeting will be held on Thursday, March 19, from 6 to 7 p.m. If you are interested in writing fiction, non-fiction (including memoirs), poetry, plays, fan fiction, short stories, novels or other styles, you are invited to attend. If you cannot make the first meeting but are interested in the group, please let the library know and you will continue to receive information regarding the group. The library staff asks patrons to alert them if there is any interest in an adult writing group.

Preschool Story Time will be held on Wednesdays at 10:30 a.m. and Family Story Time on Saturdays at 10:30 a.m. If you have a favorite children’s author or an idea for theme, staff members Brianna Rush and Nick Berry are open to your suggestions. Saturdays will also now be Drop-In Craft Days — a craft will be available all day during library hours. Stop and work on a craft with your family as you browse.

The library staff is dreaming of a green spring, and they know they are not alone! There will be a bottle drive at the library in support of the Garden Fund, March 20, 21 and 22. Please bring in your returnable bottles. All funds raised will go toward making the library garden bloom in the spring.

Just learning to knit or crochet and have some questions? Or you’re an old pro and just want to show off your latest project while you socialize? The Knit/Crochet Group will meet Tuesday, March 24, at 5:30 p.m. Bring in your latest creation to work on and peruse the library craft section for your next inspiration.

Any questions or for more information, please call the library at 897-3631. Remember that you can view the library catalog and log into your account online at http://treat.biblionix.com/catalog/. Activity calendars for the month of March are available at the circulation desk. Happy reading!
