FARMINGTON — “Seeds of Time,” an award-winning documentary film that follows scientist and agricultural pioneer Cary Fowler as he journeys around the world in a quest to protect and conserve the genetic diversity of our basic food crops, will be shown at UMF’s Thomas Auditorium at 6 p.m. March 18 and at the Farmington Grange at 6:30 p.m. March 26. Donations welcome.

The message of the film is that the genetic diversity of the food crops that were bred and domesticated by mankind over the millennium is vanishing as a result of  high-yield mono-culture practiced by industrial agriculture. 

The film is free and open to the public.
