LOVELL — Aspiring authors writing nonfiction may attend a discussion to learn how to publish a book from 2 to 4 p.m. on Thursday, March 26, at the Charlotte E. Hobbs Library in Lovell.

Six members of the Sweden Historical Society, Kay Lyman, Marcia Storkerson, Sue Black, Janet Mahannah, Dell Foss and Perri Black, worked together for more than two years to produce “Living, Learning and Worshiping: Buildings of Sweden, Maine 1813-1913,” which was published in December 2014.

Their presentation will cover the entire process of producing the book, beginning with the initial concept, they will talk about researching the topic using a range of resources, editing, proofreading and, finally, publishing through Create Space, an Amazon.com affiliate. They will also speak about promoting, distributing and selling the book through various outlets.

Ample time will be allowed to answer questions from the audience. Copies of the book will be on sale during the event.

For more information on the presentation, contact the Lovell Library at 207-925-3177 or www.hobbslibrary.org.

More information about the book can be found on the Sweden Historical Society website, www.SwedenHistoricalSociety.org and on amazon.com.
