The 29th Annual Meeting of the Orono Land Trust will be held at the Keith Anderson Community House, 19 Bennoch Road, Orono, on March 27. Please join in at 6:30 p.m. for the social gathering with refreshments. The annual meeting will be held at 7 p.m.
The guest speaker is Rob Lilieholm, the E.L. Giddings Professor of Forest Policy at the University of Maine. He received his Ph.D. from UC-Berkeley in 1988, his M.S. from Louisiana State University in 1985, and his B.S. from Utah State University in 1983. Dr. Lilieholm’s research examines ways in which wildlands can be sustainably managed to promote a wide range of ecological and social goals. His talk is titled: Bay to Baxter: Leveraging Maine’s Quality-of-place for economic development.
