FARMINGTON — Franklin Savings Bank has added a new loan officer, Stacy Fortin, to its River Valley Branch in Rumford. Fortin, who has been working as a support staffer for the lending team, has been promoted to consumer loan officer.

In her new role, she will continue to assist customers in financing vehicles and other personal loans, but with enhanced responsibility as an officer.

Fortin’s step up represents achievement of an important goal. She has sought to become a lender since starting at Franklin Savings Bank in 2007 and, throughout her tenure, has demonstrated her willingness to learn and grow.

She is working toward an associate degree in business administration at Central Maine Community College. She is an active volunteer in the community, particularly at events such as Relay For Life, and enjoys helping with the Christmas in the Valley parade. She is volunteering for Money Minders, a program through SeniorsPlus which assists local seniors with writing checks to pay their bills and balancing their checkbooks.
