FARMINGTON — The death of a Farmington man on Tuesday, March 31, appears to have resulted from an apparent drug overdose and was not suspicious, police Chief Jack Peck said.

Benjamin Cummings, 37, was found at his home at 185 Maple Ave. by his brother, who had left the home early Tuesday morning. When he returned at about 8 a.m., he found Cummings had died.

Police are waiting for a toxicology report from the medical examiner, he said.

Farmington police officers and a NorthStar ambulance responded to the scene. Peck also contacted the Maine Drug Enforcement Agency, he said.
