PORTLAND (AP) — Police said a pedestrian was seriously injured after being hit by a car in Portland.
The 75-year-old man was hit on Allen Avenue Friday afternoon.
He was taken to Maine Medical Center. His name has not been released.
According to WGME 13, the section of Allen Avenue near Yale Street was closed for about an hour and a half during Friday’s rush hour.
Police said the accident is being investigated and no charges have been filed.
