PORTLAND — Police say they responded to two different fights between a Portland family and employees of a car dealership over the proper rate of speed for a test drive.
The Portland Press Herald reports Maine state and Yarmouth police sent several cruisers to the scene of a fight on Interstate 295 Tuesday when the first altercation happened in the breakdown lane. Police say two parents and their son got into an argument with a mechanic from Dubai Auto Sales in Portland during the test drive. The mechanic summoned a manager, and the fight escalated.
Yarmouth police drove the family to a store, where they got a taxi to Portland. Police say the fight then resumed at the dealership. Police responded and broke it up.
Police say no one was arrested.
