LEWISTON — On Saturday, April 25, after almost three years away, Rat Pack Records artist Widow Sunday returns to Maine to perform live at The Acme Social Club in Lewiston.

Hailing from central Massachusetts, the quartet has made name for itself in the national metal scene. Fueled by the success of their debut 2009 EP “Embracing the Beast Within” and its accompanying video for “The Strings of Clarity” (directed by Ossian of Kingdom Cold Productions), the self-described “dance metal” powerhouse has performed countless concerts in addition to receiving worldwide radio airtime.

With a debut full-length album now in stores and extensive touring plans in the works, Widow Sunday has taken the metal genre to the next level of devastation with their latest offering, “In These Rusted Veins.” Combining the best elements of hardcore, industrial and metal, Widow Sunday’s “In These Rusted Veins” delivers a pure dose of aggressive perfection that will stand up to it’s peers in the heavy music genre.

Playing along side Widow Sunday is Maine’s own Ascent To Power coming off their national release of “World Order” on FMD Records along with local metal bands When Muppetz Attack, The Fall Of Babylon, Creatures and Forbidden Covenant. This is a 21 and over show and will be in the upstairs room of The Acme Social Club,  255 Park St in Lewiston.

Doors open at 6 p.m. and tickets are $10 in advance or $12 at the door.

Tickets can be purchased at The Acme Club box office or by contacting 207- 333-0054 via text or phone.
