MECHANIC FALLS — The Tri-Town Optimist Club of Mechanic Falls, Minot and Poland has announced its March RSU 16 Student of the Month recipient, Whitney Frost.

Frost, a senior at Poland Regional High School, is described as a student who leads with a giving spirit, one who gives of herself and her talents without hesitation.

She has been involved in many community service events, is active in her church and is also an artist who has won several school and community honors. Her elementary school principal remembers her even then as a quiet leader, everybody’s friend, and always willing to contribute.

Frost plans to pursue a major in marketing with a focus on creative advertising or graphic design.
