Red Eddies Youth Baseball and Softball Hitting clinics

The Red Eddies Youth Baseball and Softball Hitting Clinics will begin on Sunday, Apri 12 and will run for three consecutive Sundays, including April 12, 19 and 26).

The Edward Little coaching staff welcomes players in grades 3 through 8 from surrounding communities to participate in the clinics.

Each session will consist of baseball/softball instruction, skills, and drills on the fundamentals of hitting. The cost is $20 per session or all three days for $50. Family discounts are available as well.

Proceeds benefit fundraising efforts for the Edward Little baseball and softball programs. Session times are 9 a.m. to 10:15 a.m. for grades 3 and 4, 10:15 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. for grades 5 and 6, and 11:30 a.m. to 12:45 p.m. for grades 7 and 8.

Please be on time (10 minutes early) for your scheduled session. All sessions will be held inside the Edward Little High School gym.

Lewiston High School basketball camps

Lewiston High School Basketball Coaches will be hosting its annual summer camp. The Blue Devil Summer Hoops runs for five weeks from June 22 through July 23 — Monday through Thursday.

Weekly schedules have at least two practices, with one or two games against area teams. Each player will receive basketball instruction, lunch daily and a Blue Devil Summer Hoops T-shirt.

Grades K-4 runs 9 to 10 a.m.; Grades 5-8, 10:15-11:45

Cost is $85 for the whole summer or $20 a week.

Babe Ruth Baseball Registration

Baseball players may now register to join the Apple Valley Babe Ruth baseball league.

Eligible players are ages 13, 14 or 15 on April 30, 2015, and live in one of the following towns: Winthrop, Fayette, Readfield, Mt. Vernon, Manchester, Leeds, Greene, Turner, Monmouth, Sabattus, Wales, Litchfield.
