AUBURN — Saint Dominic Academy’s Principal, Joline Girouard, announced that senior Anya Lee, daughter of Mark Lee and Sandra Heutz-Lee of Lewiston, has been selected as the recipient of the 2015 Principals’ Award. This award is sponsored by the Maine Principals’ Association in recognition of a high school senior’s academic achievement and citizenship.

“Anya is an outstanding and very involved student who has maintained a rigorous curriculum throughout her high school career,” said Don Bonneau, acting Guidance Counselor at St. Dominic Academy. “She has earned numerous achievement and effort awards from her teachers including, but not limited to, the Harvard Book Award, National Math Award and the Bishop Cote Trophy. “

This National Honor Society member is the secretary of the community-oriented Key Club and a Leader in the upcoming Mission to Mississippi trip. Anya is also a member of the Math Team, Tennis Team and is a Student Ambassador. She shares her passion for art through her designs and intends to pursue a career in architecture. Her maturity, integrity, dedication and sense of community are hallmarks of this deserving student for this prestigious Award.

The Principals’ Award is presented by member principals of the MPA, the professional association that represents Maine’s school administrators. The award ceremony will take place at 12:30 p.m. on Saturday, April 11, at the Spectacular Event Center, 395 Griffin Road, Bangor.
