In the April 10 Franklin Journal, the Page 16 story about the Citizens Police Academy contained errors. Austin Marden did not say there was cooperation between the state police and sheriff’s office; it is unclear who made this comment. Lyn Terranova, not Elaine Marden, spent a day at sheriff’s office and went on a ride with a police officer. It was John Welch, not Austin Marden, who mentioned the eagle eyes of the officers and how they spotted things such as expired inspection stickers that he hadn’t been aware of.
