PARIS — “The Redcoats are coming!”
“The Lobsterbacks are coming!”
Join in at the Paris Public Library in the Children’s Room with your picnic lunch and blanket at 12:30 p.m. on Patriots’ Day on Monday, April 20. Listen to a few illustrated stories with settings in Colonial America in 1775, including one about a boy who was a minuteman and another about Paul Revere. Play a children’s colonial game of marbles and then craft two lanterns in remembrance of the signal lights hung in the North Church tower in Boston in April 1775 that communicated to Revere that the Redcoats were coming by sea.
All ages are welcome. For safety reasons, the use of marbles will be at the discretion of parents. For more information, call the Paris Public Library at 743-6694.
