AUBURN — Community Little Theatre will hold auditions for the musical “Into the Woods” at 7 p.m., on Monday, May 11, and Tuesday, May 12, upstairs at Great Falls Performing Arts Center, 30 Academy St., Auburn.  The invitational callback is 7 p.m., Wednesday, May 13.  Principal characters auditioners, serious about being cast, must be able to attend the callback.

Music and lyrics are by Stephen Sondheim, with the book by James Lapine.  Vincent S. Ratsavong is director/choreographer.  Producers are Kay Warren and Derrick Lacasse. Courtney Babbidge is musical director.   The play runs Aug. 7-16.

The cast is huge.  Character roles, descriptions and song suggestions for auditions may be found on the website at www.laclt.com or CLT’s Facebook page.

Vocal Auditions: Prepare 32 bars of a ballad or up-tempo song from “Into the Woods” for your character. An accompanist will be available at the audition. (No a cappella auditions.) Please provide sheet music for the accompanist that is clearly marked where to begin and end.

Dance Auditions: Come prepared to dance. Bring suitable dance wear; you will have time to change prior to this portion of the audition. All females auditioning should wear character heels. All males auditioning should wear oxford jazz shoes or jazz shoes. Please no sandals, crocks, boots, jeans, baggy or loose-fitting clothing
