LEWISTON — SeniorsPlus, a private non-profit, 501(c)(3) corporation, serves as the local Area Agency on Aging and the Aging and Disability Resource Center for Androscoggin, Franklin and Oxford Counties.

The SeniorsPlus Education Center, 8 Falcon Road, Lewiston, will be offering free classes in May. Classes are fully accessible and hearing assistive equipment is available. To register, call 795-4010.

Gentle Morning Chair Yoga for Seniors: From 9 to 10 a.m. on Mondays, April 27 to June 22 (no class May 25) Instructor is Tisha Bremner, Inner Light Yoga of Maine. Cost: $40 for 8 weeks; drop in $8 per class

Beginners Strength, Balance and Resistance Training: This new twice-a-week class is designed to improve participants’ quality of life. From 11 to 11:45 a.m. Every Monday, (no class May 25), and from 1-1:45 p.m. every Wednesday, (no class May 27). Instructor: Linn Morin, certified FLEX trainer. Cost: $2 per class.
