Community Concepts Finance Corp. will offer Quick Start Workshops in Paris and Lewiston in May.

The Paris workshop series will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesdays, May 13, 20 and 27, and June 3, 10 and 17, in Community Concepts’ conference room, 17 Market Square.

The Lewiston workshop series will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursdays, May 14, 21 and 28, and June 4, 11 and 18, at Community Concepts’ offices, 240 Bates St., Lewiston.

The workshops are for anyone thinking of starting a new business or has recently started a business. They are designed to provide all of the essential information and material for starting a business, from forms for registering a business name, forms for applying for an EIN number, to creating a business plan, cash flow forecasting, marketing and financial information.

Workshop 1: Overview of the workshops and materials; Workshop 2: Business planning and cash flow management; Workshop 3: Marketing information, branding and the need for marketing materials; Workshop 4: Information on legal aspects, such as business entities; Workshop 5: Financial information, record keeping and tax obligations; Workshop 6: A resource panel for technical assistance, financing and more.

Workshop instructors in Paris include Dana Hanley of Hanley & Associates, Daryl Cote, CPA, with Ouellette & Associates, P.A., and members of the Oxford Hills SCORE team of business counselors, Steve Veazey, John Huffman and Charlie Peabody.

The Lewiston workshop instructors include Steve Veazey, John Huffman, Michael S. Malloy of Brann & Isaacson Law, and Bert LaBonte, CPA, with LaBonte Financial Services, Inc.

Cost for the entire series is $50 or $10 for an individual workshop.
