AUBURN — This summer, the YMCA of Auburn-Lewiston’s day camp program will offer children an enriching experience to help them get more out of summer break. The YMCA camp program offers a mix of fun and learning activities that include swimming, field trips, nature hikes and geocaching.

Parents can sign their children up for one of three camp options, Camp Connor, located on Lower Range Pond; Y Kids Camp in Auburn; and Teen Leadership Camp, also on Lower Range Pond.

The Y’s day camp activities focus on the social-emotional, cognitive and physical development of all children, emphasizing positive relationships and making new friends.

Camp Connor, entering its 49th season, offers children a traditional outdoor camp experience where they are encouraged to learn skills and build confidence.

Y Kids Camp, based at the Y’s facility at 62 Turner St. in Auburn, features a mix of games and field trips to engage children in activities right in their own backyard.

Teen Leadership Camp, for those entering ninth and 10th grades, provides structured training and mentoring for youths who want to take on leadership roles in their community or as future YMCA camp counselors.

Registration for all three YMCA camp programs is now open and financial assistance is available.
