LEWISTON — The Holy Cross Knights of Columbus Council 12652 will sponsor Our Lady of Guadalupe, the Silver Rose Program, at 7 p.m. on Wednesday, May 13, at Holy Cross Church located at 1080 Lisbon St.

Everyone is welcome. The honor guard will lead the procession in the church. Father Aaron D’Amboise will preside. After the program everyone is invited for refreshments in the church hall.

2015 marks the 55th year of the program which began in 1960 as a project of the Columbian Squires of North America to honor the Blessed Virgin under her title of Our Lady of Guadalupe, Patroness of the Americas.

The program has continued since then as a project of Columbian Squires circles, councils and Fourth Degree assemblies in several jurisdictions.

Six Silver Roses are making their journey across North America from Canada to Mexico. 

They will conclude on Dec. on the Feast of Our Lady of Guadalupe at the Basilica of Our Lady of Guadalupe in Monterrey, Mexico.
