AUBURN — The Maine Principals’ Association has announced that Keith Weatherbie, a science teacher at Saint Dominic Academy, will be inducted into the MPA’s Hall of Excellence at 6 p.m. Thursday, May 21, at the Augusta Civic Center.
Induction into the Hall of Excellence, one of the highest honors offered by the association, recognizes educators for their impacting careers and contributions to interscholastic activities.
Weatherbie utilizes his energy and upbeat personality to make learning fun for students. He is well-known for leading the entire student body in the “We Are St. Dom’s!” chant during pep rallies.
Weatherbie says that though times have changed during his career, in large part, the students remain the same.
“Kids have not changed over the last four decades,” said Weatherbie. “They want to be successful and they want to have fun.”
