JAY – Joel Pike has accepted a seat on the Regional School Unit 73 board of directors, Deputy Tax Collector Lori Shink said recently. He will be coming to the Town Office to be sworn in.

Pike will begin his term in June, RSU 73 Superintendent Kenneth Healey said.

No one took out nomination papers for the position.

Pike received two write-in votes for the three-year term in the May 5 election, she said.

Elaine Fitzgerald received three write-in votes but declined the position.

Pike was a member of the Jay School Committee several years ago before Jay consolidated with Livermore and Livermore Falls to become RSU 73.
