Turkey dinner set for May 22
LISBON — A turkey dinner will take place from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. Friday, May 22, at Odd Fellows Hall, 27 Village St.
Cost is $7 for adults, $3.50 for children 5-12 and free for preschoolers.
The meal is hosted by Nina Rebekah Lodge 86 and Sabattus River Lodge 21.
OCEA-R to meet May 29
WATERFORD — The Oxford County Educators Association-Retired will meet Friday, May 29, at the North Waterford Church.
The date is a change. Sign-ins will begin at 10:30 a.m., and the meeting will begin at 11 a.m. Lunch will be provided by church members The program at 1 p.m. will be led by kindergarten teacher Norma Salway.
OCEA-R held its first meeting of the year on April 10 at the Oxford Hills Comprehensive High School. President John Kimball presided over a brief business meeting, followed by a meal served by the culinary arts students. The program was presented by local historian Ben Conant on the life and career of Ezra Stevens.
Blood drive at Lisbon
LISBON — The Lisbon Falls Knights of Columbus Council 2358 will hold a blood drive dedicated in memory of the late Jeannine Laplume from 2 to 7 p.m. Monday, June 1, at Holy Trinity Church Hall, 67 Frost Hill Ave.
