What kind of message is the town of Paris sending out to the youth and citizens? The police chief gets an OUI, receives special treatment, gets to continue driving and, to top it all off, he gets promoted to interim town manager.
That sends the message that it’s OK to drive drunk — maybe even beneficial.
I am simply stunned by the above-the-law, or rather, laws-are-meant-to-be-broken attitude that is being projected by the town and the police.
Good luck teaching the youth with this lead-by-example debauchery.
