BANGOR – The Greater Bangor Convention and Visitors Bureau has announced the 3rd annual Bangor’s Beer Festival, Tap Into Summer will take place on Saturday, June 20 on the Bangor Waterfront. This year, Bangor’s Beer Festival will debut a companion festival, Wine on the Waterfront, which will take place the night before the beer fest.

Wine on the Waterfront will take place from 5-8 p.m. on Friday, June 19 on the Bangor Waterfront. Like the tradition of its beer counterpart, Wine on the Waterfront will feature all Maine vintners with more than a dozen scheduled to participate. Maine food artisans will also be on hand with samples of breads, cheeses, and meats. Bangor’s own Stesha Cano will be performing for the event, and the vintners will be present to discuss their creations throughout the evening.

Bangor’s Beer Fest: Tap Into Summer returns for a third year with two sessions running from 11:30 – 5 on Saturday, June 20 on the Bangor Waterfront. Nearly two dozen Maine breweries will have their brews available for sampling, with The Crown Vics providing live music. A VIP session will take place from 11:30 – 1, and the general session will run from 1-5 p.m.

Tickets for both events are available now for purchase online through the GBCVB’s website, www.visitbangormaine.com, or through www.waterfrontconcerts.com. Tickets can also be purchased in person at Mark’s Music, or on the day of the event. VIP tickets to the beer festival are ONLY available for pre-sale.
