FARMINGTON — The Mt. Blue Regional School District music department has announced upcoming spring concerts. The concerts will feature students participating in the local schools’ bands, choruses and orchestras as the culmination of the 2014-2015 school year.
Wednesday, June 3: The Mt. Blue Middle School music students will be presenting two sets of concerts. These concerts are in conjunction with the Mt. Blue Middle School Art Show. The sixth-grade band, chorus and orchestra will perform at 12:30 p.m. in the school gym. The seventh and eighth grade ensembles will present their concert at 7 p.m. in the school gym. Directing these concerts are Lindsay Burke, Scott Dunbar, Darryl Pike and Steven Muise, assisted by Karen Beacham, Nancy Beacham and Patricia Hayden.
Thursday, June 4: Academy Hill School students will be performing on at 1:30 p.m. in the school gym. Ensembles performing are the fourth and fifth grade orchestras, the fifth grade band and the fifth grade chorus. The concert will be directed by Lindsay Burke, Steven Muise, Darryl Pike and accompanied by Patricia Hayden.
Friday, June 5: Concluding the concert season are the music students at Cascade Brook School under the direction of Karen Beacham, Nancy Beacham and Carol Shumway. Two concerts will be presented: one at 10 a.m. for the school student body and one at 1:45 p.m. for family and friends. Performing are the fourth and fifth grade orchestras, fifth grade band and fifth grade chorus. Patricia Hayden serves as concert accompanist.
All Mt. Blue RSD concerts are free and open to the public.
