1960 – 2015

RUMFORD — Linda Jane Bulger Gaskill, age 55, of Franklin Street passed away on Sunday June 7th, 2015 at Rumford Hospital with her family and close friends by her side, following a courageous battle with cancer.

She was born in Fort Knox, Ky., on March 23, 1960, to Richard H and Vivian M. (Sassi) Bulger. Linda attended Rumford schools and was a graduate of Rumford High School in 1978.

Linda was married to John Gaskill in 1994, who predeceased her in February 2014.

She was employed for many years as a CNA at Rumford Community Home and was awarded the HEROES award in 2014.

Anyone who knew Linda couldn’t ignore her great sense of humor, her voice impersonations, her enormous heart and even bigger laugh.

Linda was an active member of the Rumford Eagles since 1996. Since then, she worked her way through the ranks and was just elected president of the Maine Chapter of the Women’s Auxiliary.

She loved animals and bird-watching, especially red cardinals and hummingbirds. She also loved taking care of her plants that she had all over her home. Every week, she would spend time playing cards with friends. She also enjoyed summers at the Mayo’s camp. She was an avid New England sports fan and followed them passionately.

Linda loved spending time with her family and many, many friends.

She will be missed by her two brothers, Richard Bulger of San Francisco and Bruce Bulger and his wife, Brenda, of Rumford, and their children, Ryan Kerr of Brewer, and Alicia and Desiree Bulger of Rumford; great-nephew, Colton Bulger; her stepdaughter, Kristy King; and two granddaughters, Gianna King and Amber Silva, all of Massachusetts.

Linda is predeceased by her parents and husband.
