FARMINGTON — Regional School Unit 9 directors have scheduled July 7 expulsion hearings for two eighth-grade students accused of distributing marijuana on school property.

The incident was reported June 11 and an investigation was conducted. The students were suspended for the remainder of the school year, which ended Wednesday.

Each juvenile was charged on a felony count of aggravated furnishing of a schedule Z drug, Farmington Deputy Police Chief Shane Cote said.

The expulsion hearings will be held at 6 p.m. in the Forum at Mt. Blue Campus prior to a tentatively scheduled meeting to set a proposed budget for 2015-16. The budget could be set prior to July 7.
