FARMINGTON — Nicholas Citriglia, LCPC, LADC, has joined the clinical staff of Evergreen Behavioral Services to provide mental health and substance abuse services for adolescents and adults.

His professional interest is working with individuals with dual diagnoses of substance use and mental health conditions.

Before joining Evergreen, Citriglia was the site coordinator for Sexual Assault Prevention and Response Services in Franklin County, and more recently as a dual-diagnosis outpatient counselor for Kennebec Behavioral Health in Skowhegan. Citriglia is a person-centered clinician with a focus on motivational interviewing and using evidence-based practice to serve patients.

He is a member of the Association for Addiction Professionals, the Co-occurring Collaboration Serving Maine, and is active in Franklin County collaborating with the Franklin County volunteer network, the Franklin County Substance Abuse Task Force and the FRANKLIN Advisory Panel.

Citriglia completed his master’s degree in mental health counseling at the University of Northern Colorado. He worked for several years in the Denver area as a clinical case manager working with at-risk young adults with dual diagnoses, who were also at a high risk for HIV and homelessness.
