FARMINGTON — The Spandits 5K and Kid’s One-Mile Road Race will be held Saturday, July 25th with registration starting at 4:30 p.m. on Upper Broadway in front of Outskirts. The races will be a part of the Farmington Summerfest.

The 1 Mile begins at 5:30 p.m. with the 5K to follow at 6:15 p.m.

The event is sponsored by: Franklin Savings Bank, Coca-Cola, Dr. Roger Kay, E.L. Vining and Sons, Hight Chevrolet, New Balance, The Awards Shoppe, Andy’s Silkscreen, Shiretown Insurance, Allied Physical Therapy, Serenity Holistic Massage and Spandits! Athletic Apparel.

The event will benefit the Mt. Blue High School Girl’s and Boy’s Cross Country Teams.

*T-Shirts to the first 100 pre-registrants for the 5K

*T-Shirts to the first three finishers in each age category of the 1-Mile Race

*Race participants raffle following the awards ceremony

*Results published in the local newspapers

Festivities include: Children’s events, pie-on-the-porch, disk golf, sidewalk art, vendors, farmers market, music & crafts. Activities start at 10 a.m. and include a street dance from 7-8pm. Festivities end with a concert in the park from 8-9:30 p.m.

Categories: 5K: 14 and Under, 15-18, 19-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70 and up 1-Mile: 6 and Under, 7-9, 10-12, 13-15

5K: Race mugs for 1st and baked goods to top 2 in each age group 1 Mile: Medallions for top 2 in each age group/Top 3 in each= Race T-shirts

Registration Fee: Pre-Registration (until 7/22/15) at www.spandits.com , 5K – $15; Day of – $20; 1-Mile – $5; Day of – $8.
