Emmanuel College announces spring 2015 dean’s list

BOSTON — Emmanuel College has named more than 500 students to the dean’s list for the spring 2015 semester. To earn a spot on the dean’s list, Emmanuel students must achieve a GPA of 3.5 or higher for a 16-credit semester. The following local students were recognized:

Kate Audet, of Greene, Autumn Becker, of Topsham, Shennah Derstine, of Harrison, Juliette Luchini, of New Sharon and Alyssa Wyman, of Oxford.

BOSTON — Juliette Luchini, of New Sharon, was named to the Emmanuel College dean’s list for the spring 2015 semester. To earn a spot on the dean’s list, students must achieve a GPA of 3.5 or higher for a 16-credit semester.

Otisfield resident honored at Assumption College’s 31st Honors Convocation

WORCESTER, Mass. — Zebb Duffany, of Otisfield, and member of Assumption College’s Class of 2015, received the departmental awards for Philosophy and Classics with a concentration in Latin and the award in Medieval and Early Modern Studies at the college’s 31st annual Honors Convocation. 72 students were recognized for academic excellence during the ceremony. Awards ranged from departmental honors, special subject-specific recognitions and to Augustine Scholarships, the college’s highest academic honor.

Bryant University announces dean’s list

SMITHFIELD, R.I. — The spring semester dean’s list at Bryant University includes the following area residents:

Kirsty B Beauchesne, of Lewiston, a junior majoring in marketing.

Rocco J Spizuoco, of Naples, a senior majoring in finance.

Local students graduate from Assumption College

WORCESTER, Mass. — Assumption College’s 98th Commencement ceremony was held May 16, where 455 Bachelor of Arts degrees; 195 graduate studies degrees (Master of Arts and Master of Business Administration) and certificates; and 41 Continuing and Career Education degrees (Bachelor of Arts, Bachelor of Business Administration, Bachelor of Science, and associates) were awarded.

The following local students were awarded Bachelor’s degrees:

Zebb Duffany, of Otisfield, graduated with a double major in philosophy and Classics and a quadruple minor in: Foundations of Western Civilization, history, Medieval and Early Modern Studies and political science.

Shobow Saban, of Lewiston, graduated with a major in biology and a minor in Human Services and Rehabilitation Studies.

Cody Southiere, of Winthrop, graduated with a major in psychology.

Wittenberg University announces 2015 spring dean’s list

SPRINGFIELD, Ohio — Anissa Dann, of Hiram, a member of the Class of 2018,  was named to the dean’s list for the spring 2015 semester at Wittenberg University.

Castleton College announces spring 2015 dean’s list

CASTLETON, Vt. — The following students were named to the Castleton College dean’s list for the spring semester of the 2014-15 academic year.

Taylor Benson, of Leeds, Dalton-Jesse Cummins, of Winthrop, Alexa Fryover, of Jay, Erin Luce, of Carrabassett Valley, and Tyler Sturtevant, of Mechanic Falls.
