1975 – 2015
BETHEL — Joel Mills of Bethel died unexpectedly on Friday, July 3, at the age of 39.
He was born in Norway on Sept. 16, 1975, to Randolph “Randy” Mills and Cynthia “Cyndi” Wheeler Mills.
Joel was a skilled self-employed painter and was the owner of Fine Lines Painting. He loved the outdoors and was passionate about hunting. Joel’s witty sense of humor has left us with many great memories. His greatest joy came from spending time with his children and family, who loved him unconditionally.
Joel is survived by his father, Randy; stepmother, Joyce; his mother, Cyndi of Bethel; son, Nicholas ‘Nick” Mills of Washington; daughter, Skye Mills of Mexico; brother, Isaac McAllister of Bethel; three sisters, Harmony Mills, fiance, Tom James and their two sons, Myles and Pason James of Bethel, Crystal, her husband, Adam Cummings and their daughter, Hayley of Danvers, Mass., and Shylo McAllister of Bethel; and grandmother, Elizabeth Mills of Rumford.
Joel is predeceased by his paternal grandfather, Robert Mills; and maternal grandparents, Ted and Barb Wheeler.
Joel was blessed to have numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and friends who loved him dearly.
